I have just received DVDs in the mail. What should I do with them?

These are your update discs, which you will receive monthly. It is critical that you perform these updates every month to prevent your SD card from expiring.

Each DVD will take 15-20 minutes to load, so we recommend loading DVDs before or after store hours to prevent an extended period without music.

To install updates, open the DVD drawer by pushing the button on the front of the external DVD drive and insert DVD 1. Make sure you insert the DVDs in the order they are labeled – doing otherwise will result in error messages. After inserting DVD 1, you will see “CONTENT UPDATE” on the display. When prompted, remove DVD 1 and insert DVD 2. Continue until all DVDs have been downloaded. After the final disc is complete, the display will show “CONTENT UPDATE COMPLETE: OK.” Press Enter to return to normal operation.

I keep hearing the same 5-6 songs, with no variation

If you receive MOOD music service through one of our satellite-based devices, this likely means the Rain Fade mode has switched on for your device, caused by a loss of satellite signal. Rain Fade will play a 30 minute rotation of music until the satellite signal is re-established.

Some issues that may cause signal loss:

  • Bad weather in the area. Once the weather clears, your signal should soon be re-established
  • A loose coaxial cable. Ensure that the coaxial cable is tightly connected to the device

My device is not playing music

Verify that:

  • Please verify that the device’s power supply is securely inserted and the device is powered on.
  • Audio cable is tightly plugged into the device and the amplifier
  • Amplifier is turned on and set to an appropriate volume
  • Amplifier has not gone into “Protect Mode” due to overheating. Ensure the amplifier has space around it to allow heat to escape
  • Any wall-mounted volume knobs are set to an appropriate volume
  • Your device has not been muted due to non-payment. Call Mood Client Support for assistance
